Monte Carlo methods are widely recognized as the most accurate dose calculation for particle-beam radiotherapy. To date, practical use in a clinical setting has been gated by long computation times due to modeling complexity and computational inefficiencies.
Radyalis’ core simulation dose calculator covers beam-line, nozzle, patient-specific devices, and patient medium at comparable accuracy to Geant4 10.00. The tool is architected to be callable from customer software through an API, and scales seamlessly with particle therapy roadmaps without compromising accuracy or performance. The code is highly scalable on conventional desktop / server hardware with no special purpose acceleration required, such as GPU. The current implementation is optimized for proton beams, photon therapy, and electron therapy, with heavy-ions in plan.
